Apparently Slepy is exempt too. But I would like to entertain idea of protecting Khaira over Letestu. Eventhough Letestu has been really good for us, he is 32 year old 4th line center who has 1 year remaining. Why would Vegas select him when he is most likely going to leave after 1 year? Pretty much would be wasted selection. And I think Khaira will replace him eventually. So losing Letestu wouldn't even hurt that much.

I don't get the love for Khaira. Darkly motivated reason for leaving Kassian unprotected. Possibly right, but still some nasty thinking.

But now he's worth more than that, since he's got some development and passed some hurdles. He's nearly NHL ready. That is a good return for Hansen. I don't think we could match that, but that weak rumour of Hansen for Benson is similar in principle.
