A lot of sites including NHL.com writers are saying K'Andre Miller is likely making the team this year, what do you guys think? This guy has only been playing D for a few years, I highly doubt he gets a look

Soderberg or Haula (better defensive games than Granlund). Maybe a real cheap Grabner. That’s it.

Miller is “likely” to make the team because we have 1 capable NHL LD on the roster

He probably shouldn’t make the team but I wouldn’t be surprised if he does.

In an ideal world you leave him in Hartford for the year and don’t even think about calling him up

We all knew it when JD was gushing all over him.

It's Miller or Johnson? no?

It will be Trial by Fire. Miller ADA can be exciting but a potential defensive nightmare. IMO it can't be that much worse than it has been over the past 2 years. Miller Trouba makes the most sense stylistically.

I feel like the pairings will be Johnson-DeAngelo, Miller-Trouba, Lindgren-Fox. If Miller made the team

Wouldn't surprise me. Especially if teams are allowed to carry more players given the circumstances, so if that is the case I can see Miller with the team. Doesn't mean much, but according to Lafreniere he and K'Andre are living together at a billet in NY currently.

I still think they begin the season with Hajek and Reunanen on the team. Both guys have more professional experience and I don't think they want Miller playing a few games and then sitting, whereas the other two I think they would be less concerned.

Unless I missed something, wouldn't Smith be playing over Johnson?

Who knows.... Maybe Johnson can go the Smith route and play on the 4th line and PK

I completely forgot about Smith lmao, swap those two then but I don’t really see Miller making it over either of them. Even if he outperforms them in camp, that D core is way too inexperienced

A little surprised Soderberg hasnt found a home yet, but I'm hesitant to block Chytil's potential development.
