Leafs will resign ROR and Acciari, by letting kampf and kerfoot go as well as trading Matt Murray. 5.5 x 3 for ROR.

I wouldn’t pay more than 5-6 for him and only 1-2 year term. He’s lost a step and is no longer the first line player he was but is still a very solid 2-3c and a huge playoff performer.

There was a lot of talk about him coming back to the Blues, which is a big reason the Blues aren't naming a new team Captain.

The more term he wants, the less the aav. Given that by year 4 or 5 there is likely to be a big drop off.

1 year, 8 million per.
2 years, 7.5 million per.
3 years, 7 million per.
4 years, 6.5 million per.
5 years, 6 million per.

I would offer him 5 years, 30 million, to get the lower cap hit and just accept it will be a bad contract in year 4 and 5.

i think it depends a lot on how he does this playoffs.

Yeah. That seems like the biggest up-in-the-air factor to me. He spent most of the season looking like he'd seriously lost a step or two and really declined as a player. If he can establish that he's still got something to offer as a frontline player in the playoffs...that'll really ratchet up the ask. Compared to if he's just out there on that market as a sort of aging, slowing, #2b/3C for someone. Those are pretty different price points...and could also really impact the term teams are willing to throw around.

He’s going to get a decent deal from a contender. Something like 2 years $5 million AAV. Maybe someone gives him the 3rd year.

I’d look for ror to go somewhere he’ll make money and have a chance to win, that might be Toronto. Well see

Could be a nice add for the bruins cap willing
I’d be surprised if bostons got the cap available

I don't think he would ever want to come back here but he would be a perfect fit for Buffalo's current lineup and he would both have a chance to win and get paid.
