Curious if he still goes in round 1. Also curious why the Czechs let him play a shift in the third.
I still don't know exactly how long the absence is supposed to be and what exactly is wrong with him.. There were only indications that it was very bad..

So Adam's officially out for the season, his knee injury is worse than the one David suffered. Terrible luck.

He's bound to fall in the draft but I'd be shocked if he fell out of round 1 because of it. My guess is he'll go in the early 20s and any team that picks him up will be very very happy.

Some clips I've saved from his Extraliga season, including preseason games (mostly september and early october):

He was OK for a 17yo in a top 5 euro league, playing on a struggling team. Not nearly as offensively assertive as his older brother but you gotta love his all-around toolkit.

Has he been back from injury or are you analysing pre injury Jiricek?

Btw the tslh podcast rocks (I think you're ''St-Lau'') always love to hear your takes

I don't think he'll fall that far, but I was really hoping Ottawa could pick him with Boston's 1st.

Could he have been pushing the top 10 (maybe even top 5) if the season didn't go the way it did? Thinking if Seattle makes a surprise selection for him at 8 with Robert Kron as their head of amateur scouting (he pushed Seattle to draft Sale in the 1st round last year when other names like Musty/Perreault were still on the board).

Adam was 8th on Bob's pre-season list. He had a great Hlinka and was definitely viewed as one of the top 5 or so D in the draft at that point.

There's too much to choose from at pick #8, I can't imagine Jiricek going there. The earliest I could see him is around #13-#14, I'd guess closer to #20. His Czech league play wasn't good this year and then you have the injury setback on top of that.

And given how little Sale has progressed, it doesn't seem like Kron would have a lot of pull.

Yeah makes sense. Curious to see how he progresses as he fills out. Definitely an interesting prospect.

Would’ve been a top 5-10 pick without the injuries.
