Hank was fantastic tonight. 2nd and 3rd he was classic Hank.

McDonagh was a monster, Staal was very good.

Nash had a great game, Vesey was awesome, his second goal was a thing of beauty.

Kevin Hayes looks like a complete hockey player now. I'm really happy with what I see from him.

Kreider was quiet.

Looking at the slow mo, i think Ovechkin's shot was deflected by Staal's stick.

They looked bad at times but no one can give them credit. The Rangers put on a defensive clinic in the 3rd and this was your takeaway.

Ryan McDonagh at 40 CF% tonight literally does him no justice. He was a complete monster defensively tonight.

I might be absolutely CRAZY, but perhaps Mcilrath was benched for the same reason Skjei and Clendening were tonight and not because he fought Hertl. The evidence is mounting.

We handed, arguably the best team in the East, their first loss of the season.

(1) Vesey looks like the real deal.
(2) Lundqvist made great saves to keep the Rangers ahead and outplayed the previous Vezina winner.
(3) McDonagh reliable as usual.

Overall, great game. Electric. Love playing the Capitals. Rangers and Capitals always provide great games.

I seriously think saying, "the defense is ugly", is the cool thing to say in here. Staal and McD had tremendous games. Look at shots and shot attempts this year.... the defense is better than last year so far. Deal with with it.

Came back from 2-0 in Washington and gave my least favorite team their first reg loss of the year.

Definitely my early favorite game of the season.

Third period reminded me so much of 2013-14. When we were at our best we got a lead and we played those bad-Corsi, shut-up-shop third periods.
