The preseason is clearly irrelevant..

Fischer is horrible, but welcome to the team! Edvinsson was a Monster, but sorry, go polish your game in GR. We have Jeff Petry and Chiarot and Gostisbehere here instead

Danielson and Edvinsson still with team. They both could make opening game for Detroit.

Danielson is gonna get sent to Brandon, only a matter of time. I'm fine with that decision, but Edvinsson to GR is a joke and a slap in the face to all Red Wings prospects.

I know there's been nothing finalized, but based on the lineup for tonight's game, it seems pretty obvious. Maybe I'm wrong, but doesn't make any sense to me to sit Edvinsson (and Berggren and Soderbom) for tonight's game, and then have them in next week. This is likely the opening night team.

Fischer has been brought on to be a fourth liner and kill penalties. We are not going to have 4 scoring lines.

Lol hilarious. I see the ken Holland culture still has its claws deep in our organization. Sign mediocre - bad vets and then never let your good rookies come up and play. Edvinsson not being on this team makes our team worse, plain and simple. Chiarot and guys like Fischer being on the team over others makes our team worse. If you were really serious about rookies earning a spot and then trading vets it would’ve happened already.

It will be an all-you-can-eat buffet of schadenfreude when several young players get a ton of games in Detroit and the team is challenging for a playoff spot at the end of the season.

I'm glad that wet blanket season is nearly over.

I’m kind of not excited about this game if Fischer, Ghost and Chia are in.

I’m hoping that mess gets solved soon. These guys don’t make us better.
Tru , but this guy's just got here and get big bucks . Sounds like bad management .

I thought Danielson would get one more game before departing.

We have plenty of equally good if not better PK forwards than Fischer. His skillset is unnecessary and blocks currently better players who also have room for more development.
The ugly truth is, that we really don't have enough good penalty killers.

Or if we do have, could you name them?
