How about we have a quick discussion on what our rankings look like for the organization.

I have never seen this franchise with a prospect pool like now.

Have at it. I'm excluding goalies. Skaters only.

1) Nolan Patrick
2) Travis Sanheim
3) Philippe Myers
4) German Rubtsov
5) Oskar Lindblom
6) Samuel Morin
7) Isaac Ratcliffe
8) Morgan Frost
9) Wade Allison
10) Mikhail Vorobyev
11) Robert Hagg
12) Pascal Laberge
13) Tanner Laczynski
14) Mark Friedman
15) Nicolas Aube-Kubel
16) Connor Bunnaman
17) Linus Hogberg/David Bernhardt
18) David Bernhardt/Linus Hogberg
19) Noah Cates
20) Matthew Strome

That was not easy. Eye popping depth.

I will put up the first poll tomorrow unless you guys think we should wait a bit just in case there are any trades coming.

I thought we waited last year for you to start the polls. I just wanted some post draft discussion on it before the polls were made.

I promise I'm not trying to make extra work for you, but just curious what the format was going to be this year -- Goalies separate and top 20 skaters again or?

Thanks for doing the polls, by the way.

The thing I look forward to is each year having players who were drafted 3 years prior have a shot at making the team. It is nice not having to rush players into the lineup and it is nice having a GM who uses the draft to stock for the future.

Tough to say. I don't think they got a lot of burners as far as speed goes but I don't think skating is an issue with the group overall. Some of the guys with heavier feet at least compensate it with pretty good size (Bunnaman, Strome, etc.)

Why do people have Bernhardt over Hogberg? I think I've seen Swedish posters mostly rank Hogberg above Bernhardt.

Agreed. That seems like a clear mistake. In my eyes, Bernhardt is not a much of a factor. Hogberg sounds like a legit prospect.

Azir your #21 ranked prospect Michael Parks is not a Flyers prospect anymore. The Flyers do not hold his rights.

Parks was with the ECHL Quad City Mallards last season under an AHL contract to the Iowa Wild.

Parks had a good season in the ECHL last season he had 56 points in 61 games.

This is how I would rank the top 10

1. Nolan Patrick
2. Travis Sanheim
3. Phillipe Myers
4. Oskar Lindblom
5. German Rubtsov
6. Carter Hart
7. Morgan Frost
8. Samuel Morin
9. Felix Sandstrom
10. Isaac Ratcliffe

I'd also like to acknowledge that I'm a lot higher on Matthew Strome than most are apparently.

His only real discrepancy is his skating. He's plus in literally every other category; shot, vision, physicality, defensive awareness, effort etc etc.

I think he is absolutely an NHLer. I have zero doubt about that.

It seems like 3 and the 5-8ish range are going to be the big discussions.

I was working mine up and thinking how much flak I was going to take for having Morin so low. Then you took it a step further.

He will fall just outside the top 10 forward/defense list for me. I like Morin, but we have oodles of prospects. There's just other guys I like better. We have insane prospect depth. Some damn good prospects are going to be lower than they would in any other organization.

I think Lindblom gets 3 in the poll, but the value of a 6'5 RHD if he hits is immense. More than a winger, even a top line one. That's why I give him the edge. Lindblom is maybe the safer choice. I like my top 6, but Morin can go 7-9 as far as I'm concerned, and I wouldn't mind......2nd pair D vs. middle 6 high floor guys. I think he goes 5-6 though. My tiers on my list are roughly:

Patrick
Sanheim
Myers
Lindblom

Rubtsov
Frost

Vorobyov
Laczynski
Morin

Friedman
Ratcliffe
Allison

Hagg
NAK
Laberge

Bunnaman
Hogberg
Cates
Strome

Martel
