I find it comical that after was it LA’s GM that said “Those comments by Tkachuk are completely false, Lemieux is absolutely loved in our locker room” they now not even qualify him lol
He is liked in the locker room and it is entirely possible that he is re-signed at a deal that differs from his qualifying offer.

The Kings are cap-strapped with some kids now exposed to waivers in Vilardi and Anderson-Dolan. Even if Lemieux walks it isn't an assessment of his character, its just a numbers game.

We're low on cap space, believe it or not. We have Durzi, Anderson, JAD, and Vilardi to sign with only $4.4M to play with. The latter two won't get much, but Durzi and Anderson were awesome last year, particularly Anderson who is a no doubt top 4 shutdown defenseman now.

You know, a team could build a decent bottom six out of the guys not qualified today, and with some decent options for middle six wing as well. Interesting stuff.

How many of these guys end up filling out Arizona's lineup. ;)

And here's Edmonton with $20M cap space. If we weren't divisional rivals, I'd hope Holland was calling about Quick, ha ha ha.

Does this team beat a Kane-less Blackhawks?

Appreciate the assistance! Things should be all set, just waiting on Seattle, Tampa, Nashville, Detroit and the Islanders!

Friedman mentioned there might've been some activity there, but he quoted Blake as saying he was going into the season with the tandem as is. I think a slight majority of Kings fans would prefer to trade Petersen at this point.
