FFS, after that start to season this kid deserved better, flat out. I hope they sign him to a short contract extension soon.

Man does that ever suck. He finally broke out as a player and then suffers a major injury. Get well soon Tyler!

Injury prone player.

Really sucks, but that's the reality of the situation. Shame, he was playing great too.

That sucks. Didn't look like his knee got stressed much on that play. Such bad luck.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a player with the injury issues Pitlick has had. I feel terrible for him. Really, really sucks.

That really sucks, been rooting for him for ages, kid just can't stay healthy. I'm hopeful that the organization has seen enough in him this year to give him another one year contract.

Also, how mentally tough is this kid? Plays the same game with no abandon for his own health, despite having every reason to let up and try to make it easier on his body. Just a shame.

Actually it seems like the only thing this guy can catch is a break...

Sad story as he really was establishing himself not just as an NHL player, but a quality one.

This would be a good time for Pakarinen to return from the dead.

They will resign him. He earned it.

but do you want to resign a guy that just can't stay healthy?

I vote for not signing him. he's never played a full season as a pro, and hasn't broken even 50 games in a year since 2011-2012.

He's a good player when he can play, but I'd rather have someone you can depend on to play more than a third of the year.

Jeez, poor kid has to be among the unluckiest players out there injury wise. Awful news, he was playing real well.

Hope he can recover well.

Whaddaya do? I love the guy but-- though he's still young--age is creeping up on him. How many (more) 3/4 of seasons can he miss? This has to be devastating for him.

I'd still sign him - he's good enough when he plays even if its only half the season.
