This trade would have been a disaster. Joseph has been lights out this season. If he plays like last night 2.95aav will be an absolute steal! Thank you PD for keeping him!

Pinto's gambling saved Dorion from trading Joseph for pennies on the dollar. It has been a great start to the season for Joseph, who looks comfortable anywhere in the line-up and usually makes an impact. The PPG won't last, but hope he keeps up his productive 2-way game.

Happy for him and the fact he is playing for this team the way he is playing for the Sens. At this rate, his contract is a bargain! Don't see him as a trade bait for cap compliance any more.

Joseph has been so good this year. A great PKer, good defensive player, now with 11 points in 11 games.

Philly blew it as they could have likely got Joseph along with a 2nd round pick for future considerations.

As a Sens fan, thankfully Joseph wasn't and won't be traded. Not saying he'll get 82 points, but he'll likely get 50-60 and is our best defensive forward.

A 2nd was offered by Ottawa?

Dorion was so close to making yet another awful deal, but thankfully Briere got greedy and demanded too much.

Joseph looks like a bargain right now. He's somehow turned a muffin of a shot into a rocket and because of it he's way more dangerous offensively.

I'm happy your optimistic about Joseph, my guy. But, he's not scoring 50-60 points for us... I'd be happy with 35-40.

He was still good even though he didn’t score lst year. Always solid away from the puck and one of our best skaters. Would move Kubalik before him.

While unlikely I wouldn't rule it out of the realm of possibilities that he keeps up his ppg production. It is not backed by for example an unsustainable shoot % but he has earned his points. IF he stays healthy AND keep getting top 6 minutes with G$ and Stü. Who knows, maybe he could be one of the biggest positive surprises of the season!

Not sure why this thread is turning into a Briere-Philly bashing as they were ONE OF the teams linked to Joseph.
How are the other gms not-less greedy than Briere?
What did Ott ask-offer to trade Joseph in September?

Then we could see if Briere is dumb-greedy.
