Out-goaltended beginning to end. Talk about the defensive play all you want but Philly was trapping big time every time they had the lead. Pretty hard to assess the defense under those circumstances.

Andersen needed to make a save. He f***ing sucked. Starting to think he's a major problem, not an asset.

The kid is working through a tough start, he may have a sophomore slump season he will still be an elite player.

I have no doubt he'll be an elite player, but the lack of give a shit defensively for a player that has been demoted already is concerning. Compete and work ethic are things any player can control. It's one thing to struggle to score offensively, like Kadri 2 years ago, but what's so disappointing is the lack of compete from Marner. His been better, but that lack of effort in back-check tonight costs us a goal.

Gardiner seems to just turn and fire anything at the net tonight. It is killing the momentum of the Matthews line.

Guy needs to cut down on those weird pivots up the ice that he likes doing all the time. He's always circling up the ice on those crossovers which puts him on his backhand.

A lot of guys fumbling the puck or not looking good with it, jeez maybe 24 minutes of practise time isn't the smartest idea in the book.

This is where JVR would come in handy :(

If a player would come in handy when you have an empty net, and not much else then he isn’t a needs player. Jvr so far this season hasn’t played any better than any of the players in tonight’s game

No size, No grit, No respect from the other team, basically the team got 2 players closer to being a Ahl team.
By the look on players faces on the bench someone has lost their team, Detroit had the same look for a spell.
