I guess this pushes Patrick to the 3rd line, then.
Yeah that was the plan. Helps his development out. It was a bit of a stretch for him to be a 2c in his first 2 years.

That's on Patrick. He should be working his ass off all summer with a chip on his shoulder now. And the Flyers will be a better team because of it.I guess this pushes Patrick to the 3rd line, then.
Now look who he played with:
Kreider, Buchn, Vesey, etc...
With Philly he likely has JVR and Voracek as his wingers.

Yeah, it's the Kevin Hayes who has been a lot better than mediocre / average for the last year and 1/2. Kevin Hayes started playing much better after he was given a bigger opportunity in the 2017-2018 season, after the trade deadline. 24 points in the final 28 games. That play carried over to last year where he was a good player. He had a rough first 8 games only putting up 2 points, but then put up 40 in 43 games with us. What took place after being traded I can't speak on. The contract term at 7 years is rough, but Kevin Hayes has been much better over the last 1 1/2 years. Is this a different guy then the Kevin Hays who was mediocre for the Rangers fo the past few years?
You can afford that when you are paying your #1C and #1G just over 5 million combined.Philly is paying almost 14M next year to have Kevin Hayes and Matt Niskanen on their roster.
So that's good for them.

Well that’s good, you’ll have a $22.4m 2nd line that had a combined 168 points last season. You would hope paying that much that you’d get two players getting that many combined points instead of three players.
you guys do realize when the cap hits like 100 million we will have hayes type players making 10 million a year right?

That is an outrageous amount for Kevin freaking Hayes.
Duchene and Panarin must be licking their lips at this point!

Seems like some dont understand cap %
You do realize Hayes is just as good as Duchene in totality, if not better, right?
Yeah it's kinda weird that we are paying our top line (projected) 16-17 million for around 200 points. Guess it evens itself out in the end.
We are many many years away from hitting 100 million lol
No I am agreeing! Sorry!i dont know if thats sarcastic towards me lol
