So has Adams been waived/traded to Edmonton/shot out of a cannon into the Earth's sun yet?

Craig Adams is a cancer. Two years over two teams he proves to be a terrible person and a terrible hockey player.

Maybe DD IS Adams and we've driven him off the deep end. :D

When healthy, there was no room for him anyway but to not plug him in after the Montreal game and the poor 4th line effort last night is criminal. Unless he's nursing an injury.

Been watching this Hawks game and Carcillo is solid w/ limited minutes. Can't believe we keep Adams the entire time.

What the ****??? :shakehead And yet Adams, Sill and Ebbett are still on the team.

This. Just baffling. Especially with Sill. He has absolutely no value to this team. He does nothing well enough to take the job of anyone. Adams, I may understand due to being a vet and a pk'er, Ebbett isn't atrocious but Sill...over Farnham...really makes you wonder.

I be willing to bet politics plays more of a roll than people wanna admit.

So he picked a fight with Malkin, stays on the team, now he picks a fight with more guys and remains on the team.

The only person he can get into a fight with and officially get kicked off the team via trade/waivers is if he messed with Crosby, so if that's what it takes.

I hope it happens.

Hawks had him before so they knew he fit from before, when the Pens had him, he looked decent but was also injured, the team couldn't afford to sign the guy and have him either re-aggravate his injury or have it hinder his play throughout the season on a team that refuses to waive useless players...how quickly do you think that could have turned?

I wanted Carcillo to stay if he was healthy, over trash like Sill and Adams, most definitely. But I think a lot played into him being released.

It's not like he was just picked up super fast, the Pens added him on what, Sept 4th? After trying to get him into games with his injury, they let him go and he joined the Hawks camp on October 3rd, a few days before the season would start. It is what it is, Farnham is good at that kind of game too, the problem we're all having is that there is trash above him and they are 1-way contract trash or waiver eligible trash and this team for some reason or another, won't waive this trash.

It's not hard to see that Rust and Farnham play like NHL'ers, more so than Sill and Adams. Especially for effectiveness.

There's definitely something to that, i dont think we'll ever understand why Adams is valued how he is within this organization. I wonder this every time I see the promo they air often where they show the name plates over the player's stalls: it shows (in order): Crosby, Malkin, and then Adams - like they're proud to have him and promote his name over guys like Letang or Sutter or others, he's really got a firm spot on this roster

Farnham and Rust with Goc i think it was or maybe Adams was centering that game with the injuries was the best 4th line we had this year.

Would be nice to move Adams(someone has to bite first) and have the luxury of inserting a Farnham or Rust into that 4th line. Then you have Sill, who somehow manages to stay above the 2 on the depth chart.

When healthy, Sill shouldn't be here but i like the looks of Spaling-Goc-Farnham or Spaling-Goc-Rust better. Just let Perron PK and healthy scratch Adams.

I love everything Rust and Farnham do, the hustle from both players is EXACTLY what this team needs more of, not just in the bottom 6, but everywhere.

Could this have anything to do with the Penguins acquiring J Williams?

Obviously.

It's ridiculous to me that Craig Adams is even still around to be a malcontent.

How is this guy in any way shape or form worth it?

I've posted reasons many times and no one seems to listen. Do you guys honestly thinks Johnston keeps Adams on the team just for laughs? Is Johnston an idiot? Pressure from management? Or is there actually a logical reason Adams is still there?

We listen. On the notion of Adams you are just afforded the same credibility as this blast from the past:

But in truth, it would be interesting/funny to know your thoughts on the latest Adams missives here.
Stand-up pro keeping it real at training after a loss? "This be serious business, kids", or something like it?

The Shero/DB era will not be over until the plague of Adams is cast off!

That and Scuds and probably Martin are long gone as well.

The funny thing is i believe JR could get rid of them all in one Trade Deadline. Especially Martin and Scuds. Adams can hang out in the press box if he has to.

Pick up a cheaper physical/PK'ing D like a Sekera for example and this D is in great shape.

Yeah all of these scenarios make absolutely no sense to me. Farnham shipped back to WBS. Adams back to playing regular 4th line shifts, the PK specialist thought just doesn't cut it anymore. Not with Bylsma gone anyway. The Carcillo point is very laughable, I'd prefer him over Adams any day of the week, any time of year. If Adams played for any other team in the NHL he wouldn't even be in the league let alone playing a regular 4th line position. The guy is a freakin puck sponge that's it, he constantly blocks shots. Farnham is crazy enough to do that too, but he also brings an added energy that Adams just can't produce anymore. Craig Adams has been with the Penguins about 4 years too long, period!

The only thing I can understand is not wanting to have wasted cap space. Why he continually plays though? I have no idea.

What if they waive Adams? If they buy him out... would his $750k or whatever his salary is... still count against the cap. IMO a low price tag buyout is well worth it. Not saying Adams was terrible for his entire existence in Pittsburgh but he expired at least 3 years ago.

I don't understand how one franchise can make so many dumb decisions for so long. It just doesn't make sense to me.
