Yeah, I've kind of been wondering the same thing. I mean... I'll count my blessings. Gone is gone. But it just seems a little odd.

It's not like the Penguin's would ever pointlessly sign a wash-up has-been who isn't even playing professional hockey in the middle of the season.

Oh ****

I will count nothing until someone brings me his pelt and/or retirement papers.

my guess is Shero had a coach who didn't want him and Bylsma had a GM who wouldn't sign him. I don't think anybody else running a pro hockey team believes Adams is an NHL caliber hockey player.

Adams hasn't been a NHL caliber hockey player for a few seasons now. The only club that believed he was was the Penguins. Adams should have been out of the NHL about 3 or 4 seasons back.

Injured Reserve
What the hell happened with Adams anyway. JR basically said he wasn't coming back immediately after the postseason and I've heard nothing after that. No NHL offers. No retirement.

He's waiting in the shadows for an offer from Bylsma, Shero or the Pens.

He's probably retired but it was never announced or he's unofficially retired because he's still trying to get a job but can't.
