Maybe you are overvaluing all those guys.

But lack of both a #1 C and a true #1 d-man are tough to overcome.

It's a mix. He's overvaluing some of the current guys (Cam, Henrique, Greene, Schneider, Palms). But he also has a point. The Devils have performed like a bottom two team in the league this year. And that shouldn't be happening right now. A lot of that is one Hynes.

Didn't realize we outshot the Pens 38-28 but our D is so bad. They have no idea how to defend back door plays, guys just puck watching completely oblivious to who's behind them, zero awareness.

Watching the replay, the defenders don't keep their sticks on the ice to break up a bunch of those passes, they don't stay in their lanes, and they don't keep the stick out in front of them pointed at the puck to prevent attackers from trying to deke
