Personally, if he's not ready to play in Game 1 of this series, he shouldn't play until the next series if the Hawks make it there...I don't want to re-injure him if he is not 100%...that being said, please Kaner be ready for Game 1!!!
How did the prognosis for recovery from a broken collarbone go from the original 12 weeks out estimation to just about 8 weeks? Seems like a big risk to bring him back in this early....maybe at 10 weeks more sensible....except that a similar case where an NHL player came back after 57 days from a broken collarbone and played a few games just before the regular season ended proved you could bring a player back as soon as 8 weeks and a bit...So I guess it could be fine to do it with Kane too...

Cleared for contact, will practice today
Versteeg and Richards are on a line with him now. It's happening.

we go out and get a #2 center, and now stick Kane back with Richards already??
what the hell did we get Vermette for if not to play #2 C this playoffs...
@ESPNChiPowers: Quenneville said Kane could play in Game 1.
Because Richards already has chemistry with Kane. Vermette doesn't, or we have no idea.
