Seems worth noting that drinking at a ballgame, a restaurant, and on a party bus are all 100% legal activities. Unless I've missed it, they're not wandering down the street with open containers, and there's certainly not driving themselves around town. Sounds like good, safe, and lawful fun to me. An epic bender being cheered on (and documented) by an entire city.
