I just noticed Bar Laurel is now closed, I loved going there for drinks.

A really good spot for drinks and good food in Gatineau is Sans Façon - *Highly recommend*

My wife made us muscles for dinner yesterday, I'm easy to please, just a big bowl full of them in the middle of the table and pull em out of the shells as we go. Kids tried some but couldn't get past the appearance. More for me.

I've been to meatings, it's really small inside so it's almost like a grab and go. It was very good, when I went they didn't have everything from the menu though they had sold out some of their mains - which I guess isn't the worst thing since it pretty much tells you they do it fresh on a daily basis. But it was good!

That retail place is closed now

They are running an operation in the industrial park off Shefford Road. They also just took over the food and beverage operations at Sens plex east. The bar just opened last week . Good wings. Smoked. So different than what you're used to but they're pretty good wings

I've been to Giovanni's a couple times and it seemed good, but it was for Banquet events so idk about them as a restaurant.

I'll add, that bar at Sens plex east has been closed since the pandemic hit.

Nothing beats being able to head upstairs for beer after a game. So much better than having to drive somewhere

I eat too much restaurant lol I miss being in Ottawa now!

I think of Mati more as a steakhouse, but can't remember their menu as I've only been there once. Really nice place for sure!

Two years ago while visiting a friend in Ottawa, I had a couple of really satisfying meals at the Elgin St. Diner. I remember one of them being a smoked meat poutine.
