Not a knock on him, there are just some great young D and some really good ones coming into the league now too.

Makar, Fox, Heiskenan, Dahlin, Hughes, Werenski, Seider, McCavoy, Hughes, Nemec, Jiricek, Power, and I am sure I am missing tons who have potential to be top end D.

overpayment IMO. Not sure this one is gonna age great. But could definitely be proven wrong. Too small of a sample size to just be handing out 8 million. But nice to see players willing to commit to Ottawa.

Stutzle had way more games played for his extension.

I did think It was a risky deal for Stutzle, but he bursted way past his ceiling and it paid off.

Would want more production and more games played before giving out that much money.
