No he’s a Staal replacement, and his salary is good for that role too. If he actually is a 2C he’s on a steal of a contract.

I think he’s the 3C once Staal moves on. He’s played well enough to be 3C now with little to no drop off in the quality of the team.

They aren’t illegal at all. They can’t be signed and be official and registered until July 1…but you can talk to your own contracted player and their agent all you want to. With numbers and dollars and term and everything. You can’t tamper with your own employee. They just can’t sign it until July 1

Presumably. He’s probably play one or two at a time, and if he drops off in quality he can play 4C. Currently we don’t have problems moving Koko around to different places in the lineup so it isn’t too much to bring Lindholm in.

There are 32 teams in the league, so your top 32 centers in the NHL can be labeled as number one centers, Lindholm is absolutely a number one C

Eh, I don't know, I wouldn't mind if the Wings gave him 8.5 a year. I have seen enough to know I'm getting 70+ point elite defensively center, 8.5 isn't bad for that.
