Karlsson is the exception. There is no way they take any of the other guys if they finish with a top 3 pick, and likely don't take Karlsson either.

I'm sure they would rather get McDavid, Eichel, or Hanfin than whomever they'd be "pleased" with at 10.

Yeah of course, but I don't see the Sens being bad enough to finish with a top-3 pick. Last time they were really bad was in 1995-96, when they finished last. In 2008-09, it wasn't a great season but there was still 8 teams with a worse record. And in 2010-11, the worst season since 1995-96, 4 teams had a worse record. We even got screwed because the Devils won the Lottery... Tanking sucks.

What I meant is no matter where the Sens draft, they can still manage to add get great building blocks.

Karlsson with 15th OA : generational talent
Ceci with 15th OA : was apparently very high in their drafting list, could be a great #2 D-man, Doughty (lighter IMO) potential
Lazar with 17th OA : was apparently very high in their drafting list, captain material, Bergeron potential
Lehner with 46th OA : potential beast/Lundqvist impact goalie IMO
Stone with a 6th round pick : will be a 2-way force IMO

And several other good value picks (Hoffman, Wiercioch... many who remain to be seen like Wikstrand, Englund, Prince, Puempel, Driedger, Dzingel, McCormick). I mean by that, they might have drafted those with a later pick tat they could have hoped. I know some will say "every team could say the name", but IMO it's not the case, I'd take our scouting over most in the league. They look very confident in what they are doing and every year, they have more proofs that they really know what they are doing...

Also :

Zibanejad was a 6th OA
Ryan was a 2nd OA
Turris was a 3rd OA
Cowen was a 9th OA
Michalek was a 6th OA...

I know many are still unproven, but I have great faith in the highlighted guys, they will all be good to great players (well MM9 is a vet now)

There's a ton of talent in the organization, but a mediocre season is kinda leaving a bad taste in people's mouth. It's now the time for more youth to raise to the challenge

so, because he has money I have to ignore his flaws?

They were likely taking all kinds of normal pictures for all the tightwads, and then he slipped in a joke one in a moment. His wife likely loves the jokester in him.

Not all women are miserable buzzkills who freak out on wedding day, and not all parents at lame *****.

We were treated to a photo of a private moment with zero context.

try and relax, the sanctity of this tired tradition is safe.

Mi tambien and many other things... Lazar? Chiasson? Guptill? Claesson? Englund? etc.

Yes to all of those as well

I just wanted to give a specific shout to Stone who I think will impress most people in his first full NHL season. There is lots to look forward to if you don't subscribe to all the doom and gloom around here.

Behind you, look out
Of course when Colorado puts out a memo he is available 29 teams will respond. That said, for now Toronto, Calgary, and now Ottawa are most aggressively working on trade options.

The one time I wish Eklund was right. :(

Honestly boys, if you think that highly on Booth's lack of class due to the pic, then I unno how it'd be like to party/celebrate with you guys.

It was a joke. Pretty funny one. Those are the type of couples that really enjoy one another's company.

That's clearly a funny/joke picture. Heaven forbid they have a little bit of fun on their wedding day.

"Nope please stand side by side, no touching. Keep those hands where I can see them mr. Booth! I'm a photographer not a pornographer."

Lmfaooo, I burst out laughing pretty hard.

We aren't doing anything else.

Sucks because it's been an underwhelming off-season.

If we don't do anything else, I'll be beyond frustrated because the roster we have now isn't bottom 5 nor is it legit playoff team.

We can't be a mediocre team in one of the deepest drafts in a long time.

We need one more top end LW. Michalek on 2nd line doesn't cut it.

He was absolute **** in his first season especially the playoffs.

Here, look at the first goal here in the game that put us out of the playoffs.

So showing one play makes him crap ,his presence on the blueline is a factor .Weircoch doesnt have it neither does Methot ,Cowen can change games just with his physical play .He will level anybody at any time ,you need that bite. All great bluelines have it.That physical play slows down forwards and makes them pay the price for playing in the dirty areas .Trade him and we lose that

Seems to be open season for ******** on sens fans on the main board.

But mentioning Sobotka leaving for the KHL is apparently too harsh.

I really do not understand this place and the people that run it sometimes.

Cowen possibly had one of the worst playoffs in recent memory when we went u against the penguins. People should be pointing to why hes good not making excuses for why hes been bad.

Watch the rest of the goals in that series. Cowen was on ice for about half or more. He is not good and you are wrong.

:laugh:158 games ,weber didnt make his mark until what age again???CoweN has shown more potential at the nhl level than any other young blueliner we have ,save Karlson .There is a reason he got a 4 year extension ,Weircoch is the one that gets moved and will be the bust

He is fine ,he was how old playing a top 4 role in his first year .He doesnt play a soft game ,and is still figuring out where to pick his spots.Wiercoch does what for us ??no more than corvo tbh soft points thats all

Wiercioch, the offenseman, was better defensively than Cowen.

Cowen had a garbage year and this still isn't true. Wiercioch made mistakes against bottom 6 players and was lucky enough to not be out against actual offensively skilled players when they happened. There's a reason he was scratched often and cowen was t and the reasons stretch far beyond pedigree. Cowen, on bad nights, at least brought physicality. Wiercioch, on nights we didn't get power plays, generally brought nothing. If any other team thought highly of him he'd likely be gone by now.

Pretty hard to do from the bench ,Weircoch is an soft pmd ,thats why he sat .Cowen is a young physical shutdown defender, that just needs time .He makes opposing forwards fear coming into our zone ,he will soon own the front of our net .Lucic would rather see weircoch tryning to defend our crease than cowen
