Just took a look on the Q site and it may mean nothing but noticed Brushett took part in the league's Excellence Challenge tournament for potential draftees at the start of May. It may mean nothing, but might mean some interest in the league if participating in that

Why would he have slipped so far ? A bad season maybe ?

As I said, might mean nothing but he wouldn't be the first player to tell teams he wasn't interested in playing in the league and then ended up going for whatever reasons
