^ Playoffs look doable since we have two games in hand on Hamilton and are only a point back.

looks less likely when you think they have lost 3 in a row and 5 of 6. They have not had back to back wins in almost a month and haven't won 3 in a row since mid-december

simply put they are not a very good team, even worse without Ortio.

I saw this tweet this morning

I'm not sure how the ATOs work, though. Assuming he signs a contract in the next few weeks, he could sign a professional deal to start next season, and then sign an ATO to play for ADK and their (potential) playoff games? Or does he need to be on the roster during the trade deadline to be eligible for AHL playoffs?

An ATO would allow Gillies to play for ADK for the rest of the regular season and playoffs.

If he signs an NHL contract he would only be eligible to play for Calgary for the regular season and would be ineligible for the post-season for both us and ADK. It would also burn a year off his ELC.

Okay cool, thanks. I can't imagine management promising him any NHL games this year with us this close to the playoffs, but it would be exciting to get Gillies signed and playing in the AHL for sure

I think it would be fantastic, I just hope he isn't available to be signed until after the NCAA championship game

ADK leading 1-0 Agostino with the goal.

Agostino has been playing great as of late. Heading into March his best months were November and February with 5 points in each month.

In March Agostino has points in 8 of 10 games and has 11 points.

I like being wrong. ADK wins 4-1.

Cundari had 3 assists, Agostino a goal and an assist and Wolf 2 assists.

I should give some credit to Cundari, he has been hotter than hell lately. He had only 11 points on February 6th. Since then he has 15 points in 16 games.

Flames and Bulldogs tied at 1 midway through the 3rd.

Turner Elson was taken off on a stretcher 3 minutes into the second period after a fight with Bobby Shea. It is believe Elson hit his head on the ice when he fell. I really hope the kid is okay.

Question. If the Flames miss the playoffs, but ADK does, who could be sent down for the playoffs there?

Would Calgary be able to send all of Ferland, Shore, Byron, Jooris, Granlund?

The only eligible players are the ones that were sent down as paper transactions at the trade deadline or were already on the farm.

So Ferland & Granlund would be eligible but Shore, Byron and Jooris would not. Shore was called up just prior to the deadline because they have no intention of waiving him to allow him to play in the AHL for the playoffs.

If we both make the playoffs, would Granlund and Ferland be sent down? Would only leave 1 player in the press box in Calgary I think.

ADK lost again this time 4-0.

They are not going to make the playoffs. They are 6-6-3 since Ortio went down with his injury. They have allowed 51 goals against in that time (3.4 goals against per game). They have won no games when scoring fewer than 3 goals and only 1 when scoring fewer than 4. Their defense and goaltending is really struggling without Ortio Culkin & Potter.

AF, any idea on how Kulak has been?
he's been their 6/7 guy, sitting on a semi-regular basis. He's played in 13 games since coming back up the team has probably played 18-20 games in that time )too lazy to check). He had a bit of a short hot streak there offensively so his numbers don't look too bad with 2G and 4A since his recall, but both goals came in an 8-7 loss and 5 of teh 6 points came in a 5 game stretch, he has been pointless in 4 since.

On the bright side he has also been a plus player since coming back up, he was -6 in his first stint and +5 since being recalled.

When does Morrison start playing in Adirondack? And when does Ortio and Culkin come back from injury?
