When it comes to ceilings there’s not much higher than above PPG (80-90 points) unless you’re in the Crosby/Ovie tier, and neither player discussed in this thread is going to reach those levels.

LMAO. Nylander already only 21 points off of that after his first two seasons. He'll reach that, for sure.

But I'm not so sure if your 87lb guy..............IF he makes it to the NHL ever................will do it.

He had 61 points as a rookie, and just turned 22 this month. Above PPG is well within his grasp.

it's not doubtful at all. Pettersson has the highest ceiling of a non #1 draft pick in recent memory. His IQ/Passing/Puck handing is elite. His shot is near elite. His skating/speed is excellent. His defensive play is excellent. He has NO weaknesses in his game, skill wise.
Literally the only thing ANYONE can complain about him (if you read Pettersson thread) is that he's too light/weak. You can't say anything about his actual hockey skills. Because of that, his ceiling is MASSIVE. He's the most skilled prospect right now. Will those skills translate to NHL? That you can argue about, but not about his ceiling.

Laine and Eichel were better prospects for sure, but Petterssons potential is higher. He probably won't be better than them though
