Quincey blows, he's not an every game player. Best used in the press box.

Don't know much about Prout but I was hoping for futures

Search youtube for "Dalton Prout Milan Lucic"

large defenseman, plays big but slow. Doesn't fit the future of the CBJ looking for more speed and puck movement on the back end.

This is literally the opposite of what New Jersey wants in their defenseman

Kyle Quincey is an absolute trash bag. People expecting any sort of return are delusional. The guy can barely skate let alone handle a puck.

Prout is a turnover machine whose only claim to fame was dropping Lucic in a fight a couple of seasons back. Columbus fans should be ecstatic over this move.

Quincey will probably fight for #7 with Harrington. Better than Prout for sure and got rid of that contract. Win for CBJ.

Good deal for CBJ. I'm not a Prout fan. Seems like a liability more often than not.

Complete steal for Columbus. It doesn't even matter if Quincey is just as bad as Prout, Columbus clears his salary/contract after this season and frees up space in the offseason.

Incorrect. Quincey has been pretty solid for the Devils this year. This trade makes no sense from the Devils perspective.

Maybe Shero saw that he was getting no return on Quincey so he decided to take a chance on Prout? He's one of those guys that gains value with experience as a "solid" defensive d-man, if he plays well in the next year and maybe gets traded for a pick. If not, well no big loss it's a small contract.

Just trying to make sense of this.

Columbus probably wanted some experience on Defense for the playoffs, should they make it. JMFJ and young 20 somethings with no playoff experience just won't cut it.
