Yeah... I'm placing my bet on "they're doing that deliberately in the hopes of <insert all the war crimes here>".

Can't wait for the Putin Propaganda Machine to spit out "We didn't do that. The Ukraine lit their own nuclear plant on fire. We tried putting it out. We shot at the firefighters so they wouldn't sabotage it and cause it to spread."

Hmmmm.

Watch the live Oilers game or watch a livestream of a full out battle at the worlds largest nuclear power plant which has a reactor on fire and conflicting reports of radiation increase in the area…..

Which one to watch….can’t decide

In other words they will execute foreign fighters.

Russians executing prisoners is a long standing tradition in the Russian military.

When POW camps were liberated in WW2 many Russians prayed it was the Allies getting there first. There were cases in which those Russian POWs that were deemed “collaborators” with the Germans were beheaded and dragged behind horses and other such inhumane treatment.

I imagine we might see some such similar treatment if some Russians are considered collaborators with the resistance after the inevitable (unfortunate) occupation

I can't even process how stupid this is.

Putin clearly has lost his mind like a jilted lover. If he can't have Ukraine, no one can have Ukraine.

Let's just make the whole country and parts of neighboring ones completely uninhabital.
Well I guess this is his way of nuking Ukraine without using a Nuke. At some point NATO is going to have to paint Ukrainian flags on the tails of there fighter planes and go f*** these fools up.

It’s not going to nuke the country.

Edit : From what I read and looked into. I’m no nuclear specialist haha.

Stalin sent surviving Russian POWs to the gulags. The Germans treated Russian POWs brutally, most died in captivity. So if you survived being a POW you were considered a criminal for surrendering.
