I'm looking forward to seeing how fast they make guys like Bryan Rust & Conor Sheary next year. They had the ratings of AHL players this season, but I could see them getting a major boost next year. Also, I could see Nick Bonino getting ELITE level ratings next season.

somewhat off topic since it relates to nhl 16 but it deals with ratings, can someone explain why Sam Reinhart is still rated a 79!? Don't they update these things every once in awhile??

Kyle Brodziak is a great defensive forward. Doesn't mean he deserves to be highly rated. Toews is a 50-60 point player that plays above average defense. That's a very good player, I'm not saying he sucks, but to rate him as a superstar is stupid because he's not one. He belongs right with Derek Stepan. They are VERY similar players. You realize Jussi Jokinen outscored Toews this year? Should he be a 92? He plays very good defense too. Derek Brassard exact same numbers as Toews. Toews's scoring totals have gone down each of the last three seasons. Who is to say he won't put up 50 points next year? That's the way he's heading.

Lol, I gotta say this is a pretty bad post. Toews has put up less than 60pts in close to a full season exactly one time in his career (58) and that was his worst year of his career - a year he admitted to being out of shape (there were a lot of other factors in this poor year that I wont go in to). His career PPG is .87 which over an 82 game season averages out to 71 points. How exactly is he a 50-60pt player? And just "above average defense"? He's only finished outside of the top 5 in Selke voting once since 2010 and that was a 6th place finish. Only Patrice Bergeron can say the same. Like I get that your a Blues fan but don't let your homerism blind you from the facts

I'll take a stab at what the Hawks have right now

Panik (83) - Toews (89) - Hossa (87)
Panarin (87) - Anismov (85) - Kane (93)
Shaw (84) - Schmaltz (79?) - Fleischman (83)
Desjardins (82) - Kruger (83) - Hartman (79)

Keith (91) - Seabrook (87)
Hjalmarsson (86) - TVR (83)
Gustafsson (82) - Pokka (80)

Crawford (89)
Darling (82)

I actually really really hates EA ratings system. The players generally dont feel different enough.

Personally, I would like to see the average first liner be 85, the elite players up around 90-95, 2nd liners around 80, 3rd liners around 75 and 4th liners more like 70.

Then you would actually feel a major difference when playing as different players.

Of course you think it's a bad post because it's the inconvenient truth for you. You don't want to hear that the guy you locked up for 10.5M/year ( ) is going downhill. He never really was anything too special, but now that his point totals are falling off(that directly correlate to the fact that Hossa is no longer able to carry him) and all he has to rely on is this opinion that he is some supreme leader and defensive specialist  He's Derek Stepan, plain and simple. Nothing wrong with that, Derek Stepan is a good player, but he's far from a superstar. If the EANHL series wants to be as realistic as possible, they would make Toews an 85-86 overall player and make him one of the most difficult players in the league to trade, because that's exactly what he is.

So I respond with facts and numbers and you respond with emoticons and nothing of substance. Pretty much what I expected to hear to back your wild assumptions. If you can't present any facts in your rebuttal that should tell you a lot about the validity of your argument. Thanks for playing.

The real question is, what undeserving player that plays for Vancouver/Toronto are they going to make an 87/88 this time?

(Not all of these players play in the A or will, I believe Hawkey, Evans (Unlisted), Koberstein and Sullivan won't be in the game due to the leagues they play in)

Obviously not all of these kids will live up to potential in the game (I had Dal Colle one year through trade, he had top 6 potential at a 79 overall, I had him in the AHL on the top line, next season he sky rocketed to a 91 with franchise potential)

The overall's rating's are all's off's.

No, seriously, what's with you and your apostrophes, or shalt I say, "apostrophe's"? You can't write right and your ratings are mostly off by a mile. Some too high, some too low, few just right.

I love how you did the NHL/AHL franchise part, though! Nice hard work!

You have Pacioretty at an 86, Petry at an 81, Pateryn at an 84 & Condon at an 85. I highly, highly doubt it's MY ratings that are off.

Considering you have Petry at an 81 & Angelo Miceli at an 73/74.... Lol
