Anyone have fancy stats for Hanifin's improved play since he's been getting more ice time post Ron Hainsey?

Ugh. That quick look up to see which way the goalie went on that deke right as he was deciding to go backhand or forehand was pure filth. Gotta give that tendy credit for not biting super hard but it ultimately didn't matter with that finish. I didn't like the stuff he was saying in Finland at all, but he's torching it down there. Wonder how Francis is going to play this if he keeps starching the AHL.

We're a long shot for the Stanley Cup playoffs so probably for the best to keep him in the AHL for this run in Charlotte.

I agree, let him develop the rest of the year in Charlotte. Gives him (hopefully) some playoff experience in the minors.

I think the only reason a call up would be a possibility is because of how desperately we've been trying to find some bottom six scoring. I don't think we should change much, but it doesn't look like Wallmark is quite ready for the jump. The defensive responsibilities would have to be a concern, though.

With 66 goals so far in the career, Justin Faulk is #1 goal scoring dman in Hurricanes history. He trails in the points though, Wesley is #1 with 227 (Faulk has 191). The most productive season from Carolina dman was from Faulk too - 2015 with 49 pts.

Wow.

Wow.

For the sake of clarity, this is a franchise record. Faulk leads all Whalers and Hurricanes defensemen in goal scoring.

That's kind of mind blowing. 66 goals.

Also amazing is that he was never projected to have this kind of upside.
