Well he has 2 goals in 43 games this year and has a 2.9m cap hit so he is trending hard into bust territory.
But he is still youngish and had a 20 goal season a few years ago

Dadonov was playing pretty well since the Christmas break. He and Hoffman had gone to a line with Dach and saw marked improvement in their play and production. My biggest criticism is that he won't go to the danger areas very often and avoids contact as much as possible.

It's probably the equivalent of a mid-round pick for Dadonov, and I'm more or less okay with that from a Montreal perspective.

Dadonov is the better player at the moment, he played better lately after a terrible start of the season. Gurianov is a RFA but with his season he won't get more then his QO. We will see how he finish the season to see if he will be qualified or not. I guess the risk is his QO won't be enough for him and he goes to the KHL.
