Gallagher for Juolevi is closer in value than Gallagher for Hughes.

Anyway, I'm sure ever team in the NHL would take Gallagher, but even as a Habs fan, I know he isn't worth Hughes, not at this point.

You guys do realize that in his 7 year career, he scored 30 goals twice, and only barely hit the 50 point mark twice as well? Once he is over 30, his play will rapidly decline. Players that play like Gallagher decline just over 30, it's pretty much fact now.
He is a 2nd line winger.
Nothing more, nothing less.
And you're saying Quinn Hughes (top 10 prospect in the NHL) for 2nd liner, that just started to slowly improve from a 40 point forward is closer than him for the 5th overall pick, first defenceman drafted, from 3 years ago?

This is a terrible proposal. This isn't NHL 19. Yes, the Habs would love to get their hands on Hughes. No, he is absolutely not available. Gallagher is a fabulous player who any team would want, but he doesn't move the needle one iota in terms of the potential (and team need for the Canucks) of Hughes.
