I really never supported Sprong for this team and it's deployment.

You can talk about his skillset being something we're missing but ultimately the skillset he was missing is the bigger narrative.

I actually liked Sprong. Reminded me a bit of BCon in that he would chip some unexpected goals.

Shame that Sprong (and his amazing ALL-WORLD RELEASE) seems uncoachable or unwilling to be a 200 ft. player; had hopes he'd learn a little.
Maybe the Kraken will 'release' the Spronger and let him go out there and learn more bad habits but score more

Has to be a locker room chemistry thing. That price. Ugh.

I don’t care for Sprong but to add picks on top of the deal is terrible

I hope they at least dumped Kempny in this deal as well. Seattle does need to ice a roster for the rest of the year after trading everyone in the past week

Mojo for Sprong is a pretty good tweak. He brings a little more versatility. He's scored in the playoffs. He's a fit in the room.

This is a bad re-acquisition if confirmed. Vrana's the only player Caps should reacquire.

He's always been a bottom six forward. We just tried to use him higher on the roster and he never consistently made it.
I hope I'm wrong but I don't see how this helps matters.

I like the upgrade from Sprong to Mojo but I’m not sure I like that use of Sprong as an asset.

Hope there’s more to come

If the trade has retention I'm fine with that honestly. There's nothing of great loss there.

Maybe nothing of great gain but we'll see.

Well luckily the picks are nothing but still, I think Sprong is better than current Mojo.

At least there was 2018.

Sprong has a terrific shot but MoJo is a more well-rounded player. Neither guy would have been on the roster next year and Sprong was likely a healthy scratch this postseason. The picks are whatever.

First i kinda liked the deal. But then i saw that we paid Sprong and we somehow added the picks. Yeah not, fleeced hard. Too much love for ex-caps in the management. Watch them bring Holtby back.
