Maybe it can be increased a little bit, but I am enjoying the small ball aspect of the game.

There's so many different variations of singles and doubles in this years game. So happy. Not as many weak grounders through the holes or carbon copied doubles to the gap. Playing as the contact specialist in RTTS and I'm enjoying it.

Still sitting on one HR for the entire year offline. So many balls squared up that just end up being line drives, even with guys with a ton of power. I ended up playing a 9 inning Conquest game yesterday because I couldn't score a run on Veteran. I definitely think the offline hitting needs a big adjustment. Power doesn't have to be king like it was last year, but there is a middle ground in there. 1 HR in probably 500 ABs with some great hitters is just far from realistic. I'm fine with homers only happening when I get good timing and squared up contact, but even then I'd have about 30 homers. All of my squared up hits are just bullets right at fielders.

I abandoned most of my true power hitters and added some speed/contact to the top of the lineup. Bought Trea Turner and Dee Gordon, put Trevor Story at 3B and now have 3 guys with 85+ speed at the top of the order. Then I have Cliff Floyd, Ted Williams, and Steve Finley to hopefully drive them in. Much easier to score runs this way. Base hit, steal a bag, another base hit, run. It worked very well for me.

Does anyone know if you continue to get program stars for Conquest after you beat the strikeout map? I didn't even realize you got program stars for conquest wins until yesterday. I was just playing it for the 30 stars at the end for beating it. 300 stars to get one of the legends seemed impossible, but now it almost seems too easy if every conquest game gives 2 and you get more along the way through missions and more for completing the map. I'm thinking once I complete the map I won't be able to keep getting the stars, which makes me not want to complete the map until I'm within 30 stars of 300....

Are you power swinging by any chance? if so, stop that. I haven't had any problems hitting hrs. maybe be a little more patient and wait for the meatball pitch? the cpu throws them all the time.

Not really, no. Power swing has always been pretty useless to me. I use X almost every time, except with two strikes with a fast runner that might be able to leg out a slowly hit grounder. I've even tried guess pitch, lined up the PCI perfectly, my contact type was "squared up" and just a bullet. That's happened several times offline and they're almost always homers online. I don't know why, but it's getting pretty frustrating at this point. I'm not having any problems hitting homers online, but offline, with the same team on a lower difficulty, I'm just getting nothing. Not even any warning track power usually. Just lazy fly balls or rockets 10 feet off the ground. I still have a few guys in the lineup who can hit for power so hopefully it will eventually come around, but my team is built for contact and speed mostly now.

also, im not sure if you continue to get program stars during conquest as i only finished the 1st inning map but im at 280 stars right now so its def not impossible to get to 300 without it.

Not much of a Diamond Dynasty player.. Love RTTS and it's pretty good this year.

I usually create a starting pitcher. Just got called up to AAA for the Mariners. Struggling with strikeouts but the challenge is good.

Let me know if that got fixed or not. Last year ppl were complaining that their RTTS starting pitcher always got regulated to a reliever.

Mine did for a couple of weeks, but then I got asked if I wanted to go back into the rotation.

Edit: In last year's game

Same for me this year. A couple weeks as a closer but then back to a starter.

Heck last year I played 3 or 4 seasons and I was a starter for all except the two weeks in AA.

It's always been a part of the early days of RTTS (both last year's game and this one) where you're asked to play a different position for a 1-4 weeks. Eventually they transition you back to the position you wanted/started at. The only time I've played where you're pretty much set at a brand new position is when you crack the mlb lineup.

Up to 60 points with my Blue Jays team affinity so I have now unlocked Diamond Edwin Encarnasion. EE has been a beast for me since I started playing DD back in MLB 15. He has always lead my team in hits, HR, RBI, and average. Doesn’t matter it it is love series or flashbacks.

Just reached 50 team affinity for the Rockies and got Dante Bichette. Hitting stats are great. Think I’m going after Jose Reyes in the Mets team affinity program next. Crazy speed, contact and defense.

Wow I just got screwed big time in a Moment. I’m working through the created player pitcher moments and I’m doing the challenge for Kluber to throw a shutout against the Tigers. I throw my nine innings without giving up a run, but my team doesn’t score either so I pitch to the 11th and give up a homer to Cabrera to fail. That’s such BS.

Ended up going with Chipper as my diamond card. Current lineup looking pretty good, with Andruw Jones on the horizon as well (15 more tickets)

Acuna- CF
Seager- SS
Jones- 3B
Cruz- RF
Moustakas- 1B
Sanchez- C
FB Markakis- LF
Albies- 2B

Can't recall my rotation, but my bullpen has Kimbrel, Treinen, Robertson and Betances as a nice 6-9 inning quartet.

so now that people have had a chance to put some time into the game, would you say there is enough here to warrant purchasing the game?

What game mode do you play primarily? If Diamond Dynasty, absolutely. Tons of stuff to do and constant updates. RTTS has gotten some nice tweaks that I think warrants a purchase, though others may disagree there. I don’t play franchise so I can’t comment on that. March to October and Moments are great additions too. I personally feel it’s definitely worth the purchase unless you only play franchise.

Got the Mets team affinity done to get Jose Reyes and he’s incredible. Gets on base easily and then pretty much can’t be throw out, even with a pitch out. Probably go after Washington next for that Trea Turner.

I mainly plat RTTS and Franchise which is why I'm on the fence. March to October is definitely an intriguing mode for me

Been flipping cards as I do some school work with the website. So far I brought in 3500ish. It is alot easier to make money on the MLB market then on NHL.

Players are so cheap this year, I'm loving it. Updated team...

2b: Dee Gordon
CF: Trout
LF: Finley
C: Torre
RF: Buhner
SS: CAP
1B: Bellinger
3B: Donaldson

Got really lucky on an after game reward I pulled Degrom and packed Bryant from a free pack. Kept Degrom and sold Bryant. Sold Mookie and Verlander. Trout is so much better than Mookie. He's a steal at below 200k imo
