Serg is starting to push again, the way he did early in the year. Carrying the puck a lot, beating guys one-on-one.
No one is that ugly.
Stevie Nicks disagrees.Patrick Laine? He's the first successful human / goat crossbreed in existence!
His composure during the Playoffs has been amazing. On the day Drouin was dealt, I was very upset. He was one of our only consistent players who could gain the blueline on the PP and control the puck, and he really stepped up during the Pens series the year prior. But with Point's emergence, Drouin's absence is not felt in the slightest. Serg's composure with the puck is world class. On top of his strong shot and skating abilities, his strength at 19 is what has surprised me perhaps the most - he seems to be fearless, too. Serg is going to be a horse for us for many years to come.I don't miss drouin at all Sergi is going to be a beast
I was upset for about 24 hours after the trade. I started reading blurbs about Serg's skillset and potential and quickly realized that this type of defensive talent trumps a small forward every day. Drouin's lack of maturity really hindered his development and then Montreal's idiotic decision to try him at center has probably sealed his fate of ever becoming an elite player. His composure during the Playoffs has been amazing. Serg gets to learn from veterans like Hedman-Stralman-McDonough and is a track to be a top 5 defenseman in the entire league in a few years!
