The Naki
Freddy Andersen career playoff stats

GAA: 2.41
SV%: .915

If thats him choking, I really wish he continues to choke. Please continue to choke Andersen.

If we're going to go a decent way this playoffs he's going to have to be better than that

915% won't cut it against Tampa and Boston

Now wait until we add grundstrom, korshkov, lilly and probably someone like a bracco to this lineup... we gonna dominate in 2-3 years boys.

LOL ....

Johnson is not fighting with Kapanen for a spot.

Johnsson is fighting with Komarov for a spot.

We all know how good Kapanen & Johnsson are and how bad Komarov is.

You are fooling yourself if you don’t think Komarov and Plekanec are already in ink on the line up card.

Komarov Kool-Aid Krew incoming

  • "BUT --- BUT -- Leo has finnish playoff experience"
  • "Leo kills penalties"
  • "Leo plays in the D-ZONE THE ENTIRE TIME @ 5V5"
You rarely see Johnsson play in the D-ZONE @ 5v5 (even though 60% of his starts are D-zone starts) because JOHNSSON IS SO GOOD AT GETTING THE PUCK TO THE OFFENSIVE ZONE and playing at the others team D-zone.

9 NHL games to his credit. 5 of which were against bottom feeding and tanking teams.

Shiny new toy syndrome once again.

You predicted that we wouldn't sniff the playoffs until 2020 but we had a bushel full of shiny new toys last season, and they've taken us from last place to being one of the top teams in the league. Do lecture us some more about how shiny new toys can't help us.

Syndrome indeed. :laugh::laugh:

What's head scratching is you questioning the coaches lineup decisions after a 5-2 win that gave us 103 points to tie a franchise record with 2 games to go.

This thread is bizarre. We're cruising to the playoffs and are one of the top teams in the league just 2 years after finishing last. We cruised to an easy win in one of our last tune-up games before the playoffs and all people want to talk about is how awful our widely renowned coach is because he might not start the playoffs with the guy they want as our 12th forward, and about our "problems" in net despite the fact that after over a decade of floundering, we finally have stable goaltending. Seriously?

Leo in => we lose

leo out => we win

case closed, send that bum back to Helsinki

You know he's a key element to our league leading penalty kill? Right?

He's most certainly a player on this team. Just as Polak is. You need to accept that.

Babcock doesn't play the game of making Matthews penalty kill. He has specialty players do it. And Leo is one of them.
