Guy has starter potential and is sitting behind a Vezina caliber goalie who is only 26. Makes sense
Uhhh no he doesn't...

Botched development, but he is not really starter potential. Could see him going for a seventh but honestly probably future considerations for a team that is willing to take him on.
Judging by posts in here, maybe he does have more perceived value...
Newly signed Coyote Jon Gillies might get upset.
Allvin should trade DiPietro to Arizona. Two way contract
Yeah and Kovalchuk matched it with NJ that same year. 15 years is just insane, but to put it into perspective on how much tinier we are as a league. An MLB player just rejected a 440 million 15 year contract the other day, Kovys deal was worth 100 million lol.It was the longest contract ever given in NHL?
Terribly. They handled his development terribly.nucks handled his development strangely to say the least.
The timing on this strikes me as odd.....being a fan of a team who has issues in net (Buffalo).
Maybe at the time he was draftedUhhh no he doesn't...
Oddly enough, Silovs is even less proven than Mikey. No worries.
He's definitely moved into kind of the "teachers pet" position with Ian Clark, and on all things goaltending I defer to him.
He doesn’t have starter potential. He’s pretty terrible, lucky if he’s a NHL backup at this point. Silovs is much much much better.Guy has starter potential and is sitting behind a Vezina caliber goalie who is only 26. Makes sense

I'm guessing he's planning on taking a paycut and joining Columbus lol.How can he turn it down? What is he expected to make otherwise? He can't top this amount money right? Insane amount

This so surreal lol, imagine being still paid after 15!! years.Everytime I hear the name Dipietro I just think of the Islanders still paying Rick 1.5 million a year until 2028-2029 lol.
