Everytime I hear the name Dipietro I just think of the Islanders still paying Rick 1.5 million a year until 2028-2029 lol.

Meh. I wish him well. He’s well down the depth chart now in Vancouver behind Spencer Martin as the back up and Silovs in the AHL.
Hope he finds a home.

How has this guy been for people that have actually watched him?
I remember Canucks fans being pretty high on him at one point but his numbers were pretty underwhelming last year and in his limited time in the NHL in general.
He is also kinda undersized for a goalie.

Doubt we get more then a 4th or a middling AHL prospect for him.

His biggest flaw is he plays really small for an undersized goalie and that makes him extremely easy to pick corners on.

Botched development, but he is not really starter potential. Could see him going for a seventh but honestly probably future considerations for a team that is willing to take him on.

Judging by posts in here, maybe he does have more perceived value...

Trade for another minor leaguer that they don’t want
