Ya right. Angry guy . See you at the CTC!
No one is buying your tickets Satan.
"Laliberté, free us!"
... I'm debating making this sign and bringing it to a Habs/Sens game in MTL. It has a double English/French meaning but not sure its billboard material.
So whenever any player leaves, as a free agent, or in a trade, it was becasue they were alienated.
OK, believe that if you wish, but don't expect everyone else to do the same.
Karlsson wanted "market value" he was offered (reportably) 88 Million over 8 years, and did not come back to the table with a counter offer ....... so he passed on a guaranteed 88 Million, because he felt alienated, and orchestrated the trade that sent him to San Jose.
A link stating all those facts would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Didn't even need to look at link to know source was the shill Garrihack."It’s believed the Senators offered Karlsson an eight-year, $88 million deal and he didn’t show any inclination to sign the deal and that’s a big reason why he was dealt to the San Jose Sharks Thursday in a deal that included players, prospects and picks."
Senators didn’t feel Erik Karlsson was going to sign in Ottawa

The structure and terms of the deal matter. If they offered EK the Doughty or Tavares deal, they would have let everyone know. The fact they are using the mouthpiece to float this number with no details tells you everything you need to know about whether theh were serious in terms of signing EK.
Are you under the mistaken belief that Ottawa can offer the same type of contract extension, structured in the same manner that BIG Markets, like Toronto and Los Angles can?
Now go ahead and post how much operating income the Senators generated last year, with no regard to their expenses, and put your blinders back on before you stick your head back in the sand.
San Jose had virtually the same revenue as Ottawa and less operating income. The Kings had identical operating income in the last available Forbes numbers.
If Melnyk can't compete he needs to go.
The expenses that are killing the Sens are due to business choices this owner made. He, not the fans, is responsible to make different choices or sell.
Does Cyril know something?
And more importantly how is his vacation in Italy going?
One can only hope all the nonsense will end soon

He’s doing everything he can to make Sens fans wish they were.Tolerate him, don't care for him, or hate him, remember without him the Senators would be playing elsewhere.
" Eugene Melnyk purchased the Senators franchise and the arena. Melnyk was the only person involved in sale talks who had been willing to keep the franchise in Canada’s capital and NHL commissioner Gary Bettman didn’t want it to move."
