Chevy/PoMo all in together. Contend by the end?

@DarrinBauming: So Maurice's contract will expire at the same time as GM Kevin Cheveldayoff's, following the 2017-18 season. #NHLJets

Very happy with this news. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Buff going forward now that Maurice is confirmed to be staying.

Four years? Is that standard? Seems pretty long for a coach who hasn't accomplished anything here yet.

Very excited to have him here in a permanent role, though.

I'm extremely happy that there's zero chance of us getting Carlyle now. Players seem to be happy with him, and seem to have bought in. He brought an identity to the team towards the end of this season and seems to be implementing a system that favours our players style of play rather than contrast it. I'm happy :handclap:

I think when talking about Coaches, True North want's to have long-term plans when they sign one. It makes sense to me.

Excellent! Let the changes begin.

I love how he left off the year with the bag skate to let everyone know what will be expected next year.

I think he's a perfect combination of taskmaster and good-guy coach.

And 4 years of good clear communication!

3-5 years seems standard lately. Torts was 5 but the Nucks have a buyout provision in the contract.
