People complain about todays commentating and hosting but back in the Glory years the Oilers fans had to contend with Tim Spelliscy who had the personality of wood. Poplar wood to be specific.
Tim could make anything seem boring. Here he is interviewing legend Gordie Howe on a big hockey night which is about as excited as Tim ever got.

Tims brothers, afairc, one was a Lawyer, the other an accountant. Tim picked an odd occupation for the family tree.
You would need coffey (pun) to get past Spelliscys nonstop monotone delivery, lack of facial expression, tacked on carpet head, etc. The guy was just devoid of any sense of personality or emotion. Like a monotone robot with a beaver pelt on its head.
