NHLer next year. One of the most under the radar prospects out there even with his historic season.

Yet the HockeyNews top 100 prospects they just released yesterday didnt even have Lindblom in it ...

That's ok. No one had a Ghost on their lists before he was a Calder runner up.

People doing hockey pools should snag him late and reap the rewards. He had 6 pts in 7 games in the AHL last year, and the SHL is a better league. He should go straight to the NHL and will be on the wing of Giroux, Flip, or Couts next year.

Very underrated year he is having. But that's ok. People will know him next year.

Has a shot at history today.

One goal off line-mate Clark's SHL leading 23 goals going into the final game of the season.

If he scores one more than Clark they will tie for the goal-lead and he would be the youngest player in SHL history to be top-goalscorer.

Previous youngest:

Kristian Huselius (2000-01): 22 years 3 months
HÃ¥kan Loob (1982-83): 22 years 8 months
Robert Burakovsky (1989-90) 23 years 3 months

Lindblom is 20 years and 6 months old.

funny that with historic season he seems to very little/any respect from the hockey pundits or fans of other teams. Flyers fans seems excited about him (rightfully so) but it's just surprising that he gets so little press.

Is his team headed for the playoffs? just wondering when he might be on his way over to the Phantoms and North America for good?

They are guaranteed a play-off spot in either 5th or 6th seed depending on result of today.

He might never play another game for the Phantoms tbh (he played 8 last season).

If Brynäs get past the 1st round and are then knocked out he might just join up with the Swedish national team... they have a pretty full schedule from the middle of April right through to end of World Champs.

And next year I imagine he makes the Flyers out of camp. He was the Phantoms best player at the end of last season and he is faster and stronger and more confident since then.

Good game today but just could not get that goal to be youngest ever SHL goal-leader.

Tipped one wide, also got free in slot for shot but puck came behind him... still got shot off but had to corral it and was then checked as shot.

Also put Clark in alone and set him up at edge of crease, also set up Jensen twice but neither would go.

Still a fantasic season:

52gp, 22g, 25a, 47p, +16

2nd in league in goals
4th in league in points
3rd in league in EV goals
2nd in league in EV points

Carried regular season over into play-off first round.

Series stats:

6gp, 1g, 4a, 5p, +5, 20:34 TOI, 61.43% on dot.

Joint leader in points over the series, also led in hits and blocked shots for forwards.

He has been taking all the face-offs for his line as his regular center Jensen is hurt - still playing but not taking draws. Pretty insane how adept Lindblom has been on the dot for a guy who has not played center before - well, at least has not since age ~14 or even younger.

Lindblom was named as one of the three finalists for SHLs best forward today.

Broc Little and Joakim Lindström are the other nominees.

Also has 1g, 9a, 10p, +6 in 12 play-off games so far as his side play game 7 of the semi-finals on Friday.

Any guess on who the favorite is? Crazy that he's nominated though.

If he was a Leafs prospect or another Canadian teams prospect! the hype would be overflowing. Oh well, people will see next year.

Yeh, he was insanely good today. The vital cog in all three goals and also created the best chance they did not score on. (defenseman hit the bar after Lindblom forced rebound.)

PPG in the play-offs now. 3g, 10a, 13p, +8 in 13gp.

Now has:

29g, 43a, 72p, +20 in his last 82 AHL+SHL games spanning back to last March.

Remember the name.

I'll remember all the people and outlets that still gave him very little credit or hype even during this phenomenal season. Hockey News didnt even rank him in their top 100 NHL Prospects in their issue last month.

I truly don't know why people aren't talking about him. Even by the hidden standards of the SEL it's surprising. He's making history and beating grown men.
