I believe we're going to come out and hit Pittsburgh in the mouth tonight.
I expect a physical game, and I expect Carlyle to push for an increased forecheck. I'm looking for Kulemin to step up tonight, and have the kind of game we all know he can play. Reimer needs to stay calm, and keep it simple tonight. Nothing funny, no chances need to be taken on pucks on the end boards, just solid positional play.
Pittsburgh destroys teams down low, and on the half boards, and the only real way to combat that is physicality, and tight defensive zone coverage. If you give Geno or Sid ANY space/time down low, the game will be over before it gets started.
Lastly, my #1 key to the game is DISCIPLINE. We CANNOT get running around in our own zone, and take lazy penalties. If Pittsburgh has more than 3 powerplays in this game, we may be able to change the channel early.
That said, LET'S GO LEAFS!
