That's crazy about Hedman actually.

Seems to be getting a ton of praise and he is a Norris finalist but this series he has 7 points and he's -3

Kucherov has 7 points and -4. Also I notice it more and more but he's dives a lot and he's a dirty player.

Really hope Leafs do this in 6 to shut them all up finally.
Only player I've seen cherrypick as much as Kucherov is Josh Anderson. Does Kuch know where the defensive zone is?

That's true. Dude cherry picks a lot.

In past years it seems hes had a good plus/minus. Not always the best indicator. In his case he's been pretty much always on a great team too.

However this year he had 69 points in 47 games. Very good but he was only a +1. That's pretty shit considering the amount of points in that amount of games too.

Maybe he's losing a step and cheating on offence now. Either way dirty f***ing player and dives regardless of how good his offense is.

Someone like Marner +23, Matthews +20 just for comparison sake.

I remember I was still in university when this 1st round losing streak was in its 2nd year passionately cheering against the Bruins in Wilfrid Laurier University's library and all these years later here we are with a chance to end that streak tonight. Man it's been a long time. Turns back the hand of the clock if they can end this tonight. Reminisce on where you were all those years and let it all out tonight. More than a quarter of the 3rd through, hope they get it done

My prediction was wrong.

Kerfoot, the refs and a Matthews clumsy ass fall costs us game 6.

NO killer instinct, Campbell couldn't come up with a big save, sub .900% goaltending from him all series.

Same shit really every post-season.

Not even mad, used to it.

Total embellishment by Foote

This needs penalizing.

Relax guys..leafs in 7..they were the better team this game. Some very dumb plays by Kerfoot, refs and bad luck is the ONLY reason they lost. This is not like other years. I’ve watched the last 5 playoffs closely, this is not the same team today. They did not play scared, they were actually better

I'm not mad, just severely disappointed they can't get over the hump.

Can't see Tampa losing game 7.

I had a very small spark that felt like today was going to be a bit different but guess not. Honestly it's hard to even be mad. Tampa is clearly a team okay with being cheating f***ing scumbags. Foote literally had to pretend like he was an Iraqi civilian in 2003 in the middle of an American invasion. Before the goal the refs missed multiple calls for the Leafs. I don't know, maybe make it up a little. Leaf player pushed down in front of the Tampa net no call.

They'll probably cheat their way to a game 7 win too. I respect this Leafs team for putting in a good effort tonight at least.

You're missing the Leafs' factor. In that they'll be the ones to break the streak and lose.

Can we just fire Keefe and hire Trotz, now that Trotz is unemployed?
Makes no difference who the coach is when the core of this team is rotten. Good luck ever winning another playoff game once Matthews bails from this shit show in a few years.

*virtual group hugs* same stuff different day. Why do we even get excited. The excitement gets dimmer and dimmer every year.

I'd really love for this team to surprise me. One last chance for it. But I fully expect the Leafs to act out the script they always live by. I figured Tampa would win in 7 and here we are.

Would love to be proven wrong in this case. But I'm not going to bet on it. Guess we'll see if they can actually play a good Game 7 for once. And maybe even win and find out that there are indeed more rounds besides just the first one.

Amazing series so far worthy of a cup final.

Statistical standouts for the Leafs so far:

Top producers:
Matthews: 4 goals, 8 points
Nylander: 3 goals, 7 points
Marner: 2 goals, 7 points
Tavares: 3 goals, 6 points
Rielly: 2 goals, 5 points

The Leafs top guns were going to have to be the top guns to be in this series and they have comes through.

5v5 xGF%:

Top 3 forwards:
1. Bunting: 60.09 (48.86 GF%)
2. Matthews: 59.48 (66.42 GF%)
3. Marner: 57.07 (66.42 GF%)

Top 3 dmen:
1. Holl: 60.48 (52.56 GF%)
2. Giordano: 55.03 (62.10 GF%)
3. Brodie: 54.28 (57.08 GF%)

The Leafs top line has been the best line in the series and may be the deciding factor in game 7 as they are due for even more production than they have put up.

I think it's ultimately going to be decided by how well Campbell play though. If he manages to break the curse of Toronto goaltending giving up the biggest softies of the series in games 7s, the Leafs can finally get over the hump.

Series decided by one easy factor.

Campbell save % .9 or better 3-0
Campbell save % begining with a .8 or worse 0-3

Play good Jack and we are on to face Florida.

This team hasn’t been able to win a game 7 for a decade. Until they break through that particular block there is no way they can win a Cup; they are bound to face this sort of scenario and if not in the first round then in later rounds. If they don’t have it in them again this year, well at least we know that is the case early.

Tight series 5v5 but Toronto with the edge.

Toronto with a big advantage 4v4.

PPs similarly effective but TB just got more of them - and of course, most especially, the series saving laughable late game 2 minute 2 man advantage for the Bolts.

The favorable whistle and bonus PP time for the Bolts allowed them to make up for the even strength disadvantage and make it a near dead even series overall at all strengths:

Of all the things to criticize Dubas and Keefe for perhaps the biggest one is Mr. Lyubushkin.
