They have heart and their crowd gives it to Tuuka BIG TIME. We don't have a crowd and we only have heart once in a while.

It's more about the kind of team the Habs are.

Bruins struggle against teams that utilize skating a lot. Habs whole gameplan is about using skating to give alternatives and be first to pucks. They are practically shaped perfectly to fit right into the Bruins achilles heal.

Between Kessel missing a freaking open net tap-in last and playing Boston next I feel like he's going to go dry for a bit. We'll see. I hope he proves me wrong.

Back to back wins again....good job boys! That makes it 11 points in our last 7 games. I know we have to get better but the points are coming right now as other lines are chipping in.

Tape to tape passes, an impressive cycle in the Ottawa zone and great Reimer goaltending.

This version of the Leafs is great fun to watch. They are really crushing it!!

Scoring up and down the lineup.

The fourth line even got 6 mins of ice.

Will I get shouted down if I say this looks like a playoff team?

Yes, you're only allowed to be critical of the Leafs. If you say anything remotely positive, you're a homer.

I think this team can make a MAJOR statement if they pull out a win tomorrow and on Friday too but espically tomorrow because we struggle HARD against Boston but a win tomorrow pulls us into a tie with them and May vault us past them due to having a game in hand if this team wants to be a playoff team it has to get the big wins. 2 wins over the cup finalists and a win against the hawks help but if they best the bruins that could do WONDERS for their confidence

Bruins are 6-1 since Chara went down including riding a 5 game winning streak as others have stepped up to fill big skates.

So they are ripe for the picking here as Bruins are due a loss.

next 7gms. opponent rank in pts per game:

BOS #11
PIT #1
BUF #30
NSH #4
TBL #2
DET #10
PIT #1

That's a nice tough stretch of games carrying us right past the quarter mark of the season.

We'll have a pretty good idea what our team is all about pretty soon.

Ugh, why does Carlyle insist on using the worse lines. Thought he was actually coming to his senses for a couple games there.

Leafs, as a team, deserve all positive kudos from the last two games. A couple players can reduce a few mistakes but all in all the team looked good.. Let`s keep it up. The team is not far behind the teams they were picked to trail by a ton.. Go Leafs Go !

I agree with Mess for once. If the Leafs want to be taken seriously, they need to beat the big guys once in a while, and the Bruins are ripe for the picking.

..... did we NOT beat Chicago?
that's a big boy team.

We only beat them because they sucked that night because they were in a slump.

Now that the Bruins come in on a roll, they should be easy to beat too, according to some.

A bit off topic, but the bolded is such a huge improvement over the last couple of years. I think as the season goes on, this is the reason we will pull out some wins that we probably wouldn't have last season.

I just want to see the Leafs bring their A game against the Bruins. Compete hard, stick to the gameplan, limit turnovers and giveaways and try to win the special teams battle on the night. I can accept a hard fought loss. It's the mailing it in effort I can't stand.
