The three year deal makes sense from the perspective that you give Woll a pretty long runway to work things out and become an NHLer but to date his development has been so flat and gradual. Just looking at Woll's numbers, the pandemic and the Leafs crowded minor league goalie situation has only allowed Woll to play 62 AHL level games since leaving college in 2019-20.
