Do they not risk losing one of their two young goalies? or is Shes still able to be exempt? That would be a massive win for the rangers if he is.

Edit: Just checked cap friendly, seems he is exempt! For some reason i thought his age had an effect on that. That certainly changes things for the rangers.

Leafs acquire Alexandar Georgiev

Rangers acquire Andreas Johnsson + Vegas golden knights 4th round pick

The Rangers will get better offers for Alexandar Georgiev than this. I really don't get the addition of a low 4th round pick and see how that moves the needle either. The problem is Johnsson isn't nearly as valuable today as he was a year ago when he signed that new contract coming off a better season and healthy. How do teams even assess him for the foreseeable future?

Not a chance. We ain’t getting suckered into another high end goalie prospect trade, the sting from the Rask trade is still very fresh in the TML faithful.

If Georgiev had already proven to be an every day starter sure but he is wildly inconsistent and Kratsov has proven nothing.

If I am NYR, I either hold him or I wait for something better. Johnsson is a fine middle 6 player, but I doubt he's all too enticing when Geo has been good.
