Marner and Matthews are doing some great stuff. And Toronto always gives us the fits at MSG. Even when we win.

Damnit! Just when the injury situation was starting to turn around too. I wonder if Staal is out a while if Graves gets the call for cup of coffee/7th D duty.

Man, if Staal had two eyes and not-two-concussions...where do you guys think he'd be?

He wasn't the same after Eric gave him the first one, and then the eye injury happened.

Hasn't been the same since...

He's a real case of injuries preventing him from reaching his true potential.

He would've been a true #1 D if he stayed healthy.

Let's hope he recovers from this. Truth is we need a healthy and performing Staal for us to be successful.

He already has been a true #1 D, when he used to be pinned to Ovechkin.

Ah, the good ol' days of Babcock coached teams where players kamikaze themselves into you in the neutral zone but nothing gets called. Cycle down low on Polak and feast.

Staal was a top pairing defender defensively and bottom 4 guy offensively prior to his eye injury and concussion. I think if he stays healthy that this team may have had some different success in the post season as we wouldn't be so reliant on McDonagh.

He used to shut down Ovenchicken on a regular basis.
