Good move. Solidifies what was a really shaky goaltending depth chart behind Freddy, and unlike McElhinney, Pickard still has room to grow and is someone I could trust starting and not falling apart if Freddy went down with an injury, unlike Mac, who I feel is really only good for back to backs and relief appearances.
Lindberg was intriguing, but he has been surpassed by so many wingers, he never had a prayer of being in our future plans. We're just too stacked on the wings, even with the plan for Nylander to eventually be a C and JVR pretty much certainly not coming back.
