I feel almost the exact same about this pick as I did with the Dermott selection in 2015. Not an overly flashy player, or one who excites you on draft day, but oozes smarts and maturity in their games. Arguably the best defensive game for a D man in the OHL.
The fact that he went almost PPG as a rookie defensemen in the OHL without top PP time is very appealing and suggests that he will explode next season when his role expands. His ability to add strength and speed moving forward will determine if he becomes an impact NHLer.
