Only 22 and cheap, someone will pick him up surely? Even one of the contenders could take him as depth for the playoffs
If you one of the weaker clubs, might be worth a claim.

Weird development in NA.

19/20 - 44 games in A and 3 in NHL
20/21 - 33 in NHL and 1 in A
21/22 - 70 in NHL, none in A
22/23 - 10 in NHL and 50 in A

Have to ask, was he truly ready for the NHL in 20/21?

The epitome of a tan crayon. Just there. Not fast, not tough, no offense.
Sounds like what Steve Smith Sr of the NFL would call a JAG, Just a Guy. Nothing stands out with him physically. 6 feet 200 lbs. Like 15 points in 110 or so NHL games. But, how does one go from 70 games in 21/22 to 10 in 22/23 then gets just 1 of the first 35 in 23/24?

Yes.

The problem last year was the return to health of Walker and the development of Durzi leading to a logjam of defensemen who would have to clear waivers. Bjornfot was the only one eligible to be sent down, and he was put in the AHL without even being considered in camp. The team stayed healthy on the backend all year, so he wasn't called up.

Rumors have been that several Kings prospects had been openly griping that they were ready and better than the players in LA who were protected by their waiver status - and they were right. Can't say specifically that Bjornfot was part of this group, but the reasons for his stalled development all seem to be off-ice.

LA does an extremely poor job developing skilled players. They take ages to bloom and in many cases its after they are out of waiver options and/or in another organization. And its all because their management group is a frat house of former players who are stuck on the idea that Kopitar and Doughty deserve chance after chance at another Cup despite not winning a single playoff series in 9 seasons.

This is the team that traded Brock Faber and Gabe Vilardi to chase something they cannot catch.

Kind of shows making the NHL early doesn’t mean you’ll be an impact player later on like many seem to think

I'd put in a claim for the Oilers. Nothing wrong with a vanilla #7D. I'm still holding out hope we move Kulak as a cap casualty to open the spot for Broberg (mend that fence) and some extra space to add someone at the deadline. I don't think a 3rd rounder for Kulak @2.75m is unreasonable.
