honestly love taking the chance on him, his upside is still really high if he's motivated (and he may be with the Russians we have here and being a contender). and he's a damn good playoff performer. very little risk even if he doesn't do much for us.

Never mind the player he’s become, which is not great. THIS is the veteran Russian influence you want for Svech and PK?

Again, hope I’m wrong.
The one positive I can think of with this is how much he said he enjoyed playing for Rod at the ASG just two years ago. If Rod can be the Kuzy whisperer and get him back to that form even (nevermind 2018 form, that's done) he deserves to go in the HoF for that alone and that's without taking any of his playing accomplishments into account.

That's about as good of a scoring 2C as you'll find. Hopefully the change of scenery can help him recapture some of his old magic. He's only 31 years old. We've now acquired 2 players who had significant significant roles in Cup runs -- Guentzel led the playoffs in goals his rookie year when the Pens won their 3rd Cup and Kuzy led the playoffs in points when the Caps won their Cup. Some guys do just up their games in the playoffs and Kuzy is one of them

then you look at his defense and it erases his scoring allure.
